What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring a Software Engineer, Site Reliability to help run and scale critical production systems. You will partner with engineering teams to increase reliability, automate operations, and improve observability across distributed services.
- Design, build, and operate tooling for monitoring, alerting, and incident response
- Improve service availability and reduce mean time to recovery (MTTR)
- Automate operational runbooks and deployment pipelines
- Collaborate with developers to ensure production-readiness and scalable architectures
- Troubleshoot complex issues across infrastructure, networking, and application stacks
- Contribute to SLOs, SLIs and capacity planning
What We’re Looking For
We seek experienced engineers who combine software development with a strong operational mindset.
- Proven experience in site reliability, systems engineering, or production operations
- Strong coding skills in at least one language (e.g., Go, Python, Java)
- Experience operating services in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Solid understanding of Linux system internals, networking, and storage
- Familiarity with container platforms and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with monitoring and observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog)
- Strong debugging and incident-management skills
- Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration skills
Nice to Have
- Background in large-scale distributed systems
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Experience improving CI/CD pipelines and deployment safety
- Knowledge of security best practices for production systems
