Software Engineer
The Software Engineer at Confidential Client is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and evaluating software from concept through production, while collaborating with teams and customers to deploy and troubleshoot software solutions. What You’ll Do
Design, develop, test, and deliver software from concept through production. You will work across the software lifecycle—researching requirements, writing code, creating and updating technical documentation, and supporting deployments and troubleshooting for internal teams and external customers.
- Research, write, develop, test, and evaluate software programs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and facilitate deployments.
- Determine purpose, application, and feasibility for new software or enhancements.
- Create and maintain design and project documentation for all development phases.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues raised by customers or internal stakeholders.
- Coordinate engineering efforts and provide technical assistance across teams.
- Support and improve the division’s quality management processes (ISO standards).
- May support training or quoting/RFQ processes as needed.
- Maintain a safe, organized work area and follow safety and ergonomic guidelines.
Qualifications
- Trained in one or more of C/C++, Java, or Python (required).
- Experience with JavaScript, Vue, MVC frameworks, or Go is a plus.
- Experience using UNIX/Linux operating systems preferred.
- Strong problem-analysis and problem-solving skills.
- High level of customer service and effective verbal/written communication.
- Self-motivated team player able to work with minimal supervision.
- Travel may be necessary.
- US Persons required for this position.
Education & Experience
- Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or a related field — or equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
- Level: Entry level / Early career (0–2 years) with a BS in software engineering, or Master’s degree in an engineering field, or equivalent experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Tools
- Technical proficiency in software design and engineering fundamentals.
- Familiarity with design theory and engineering methodology.
- Comfortable with Microsoft Word and Excel for documentation tasks.
- Ability and willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing project needs.
- Analytical thinking and the ability to interpret specifications and contribute to solutions.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- Required to sit, stand, walk, bend, and reach. Reasonable accommodations considered.
- Office environment with occasional entry into production areas (possible exposure to noise, fumes, moving machinery, and varying temperatures).
Compensation & Benefits
- Estimated pay (as listed): $86,815 per year (estimated).
