What You’ll Do

Confidential Client in the Logistics and Transportation industry is seeking a results-driven Senior Software Engineer to help design, build, and maintain scalable software systems that support critical operational workflows. You will partner with product, operations, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality features, improve system reliability, and mentor more junior engineers.

• Lead design and implementation of backend services and APIs that power logistics operations
• Translate product requirements into well-structured technical designs and tasks
• Deliver reliable, well-tested code using modern engineering practices (automated tests, CI/CD)
• Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents; drive long-term fixes and system improvements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions are performant, maintainable, and secure
• Mentor and review work from other engineers; help raise team standards and processes

Key Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience (or equivalent)
• Proven track record delivering production software and owning features end-to-end
• Strong software design and problem-solving skills, including distributed systems thinking
• Experience with building and maintaining APIs, background jobs, and data integrations
• Comfortable with observability, monitoring, and diagnosing production systems
• Strong communication skills and experience working in cross-functional teams

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Experience

• Experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, or related domains
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and infrastructure-as-code
• Knowledge of both SQL and NoSQL data stores and data modeling for high-throughput systems
• Prior experience mentoring engineers or leading small engineering initiatives
