You’ll move quickly from concept to production, partner closely with product leadership, and own technical outcomes end-to-end.

- Partner directly with product leadership to validate new product ideas and translate them into working software.
- Design, build, and maintain integrations with paid media platforms and other external systems.
- Rapidly prototype approaches to evaluate viability, performance, and security.
- Make sound technical decisions across the stack with a balance of speed, reliability, and scalability.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and AI research teams to bring emerging AI capabilities into production.
- Solve complex API and integration challenges to deliver reliable, high-quality systems.
- Take initiative on ambiguous problems and drive them to completion with minimal direction.
What We Need
We seek a high-agency, resourceful engineer who thrives in ambiguity and has a track record of delivering software.
- Exceptional technical ability and evidence of shipping software (projects, portfolio, or professional experience).
- Strong software engineering fundamentals with experience designing and delivering full-stack solutions.
- Practical experience working with APIs and integrating external services.
- Bias toward action — able to move from unclear requirements to a working solution quickly.
- Self-starter mindset: scrappy problem-solving and independent initiative.
- Curiosity about AI, and enthusiasm for building systems that combine software and emerging AI capabilities.
- Clear communicator who can partner across product, engineering, and research teams.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with paid-media technologies, advertising workflows, or marketing technology integrations.
- Experience building applications that use LLMs, AI agents, or other modern AI tools.
- History of launching software from the ground up — through startups, open-source projects, or personal work.

AI Literacy & Interviewing Guidelines
This organization prioritizes AI literacy. Thoughtful, appropriate use of AI tools is valued; however, interviewers will evaluate your independent problem-solving and communication. Over-reliance on AI-generated responses during interviews (especially when it obscures your own voice) may disqualify a candidate. Be prepared to demonstrate how you approach problems both with and without AI assistance.
Equal Opportunity & Hiring Transparency
Careertakes and our client are Equal Opportunity Employers committed to building a diverse and inclusive workforce. We prohibit discrimination or harassment of any kind. To support a fair and efficient hiring process, AI tools may be used to assist with application review or resume screening. These tools do not replace human decision-making. Final hiring decisions are made by people.
