What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is seeking a proactive Software Engineer (Hybrid) to help design, build, and maintain scalable software used by internal teams and customers. You’ll work across the stack with product, design, and operations to deliver reliable, well-tested features.
- Design, implement, and maintain backend and/or frontend components for production systems
- Write clean, testable code and maintain automated test coverage
- Participate in code reviews and mentor junior engineers
- Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents and performance issues
- Collaborate with product and design to translate requirements into technical solutions
- Contribute to architecture, CI/CD, and developer tooling improvements
- Communicate status, trade-offs, and technical decisions clearly across the team
What We’re Looking For
We welcome candidates who can demonstrate strong software engineering fundamentals and a track record delivering production software.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience (or significant demonstrated experience)
- 2+ years professional software engineering experience (or commensurate experience for associate-level roles)
- Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail
- Experience writing automated tests and using source control (Git)
- Comfortable working in a collaborative Agile environment
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
The following are helpful but not required.
- Experience with modern web frameworks (React, Vue, Angular) or backend frameworks (Node.js/Express, Django/Flask, Spring)
- Cloud platform experience (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and observability tools
- Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases
- Prior experience in a hybrid or distributed team
Work Model & Location
- This is a hybrid position based in San Jose, CA. Candidates should be able to work on-site when required and collaborate remotely as needed.
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
