What You’ll Do

This Confidential Client is hiring a Software Engineer to design, build, and operate core components of a large-scale cloud computing platform. You will work on system-level components, virtualization, and infrastructure that supports high-performance and large-memory workloads.

• Design, develop, and maintain production-quality code for cloud infrastructure and virtualization components.
• Work on hypervisor-related systems and low-level interactions with firmware, kernels, and peripheral devices.
• Optimize performance for compute- and memory-intensive workloads.
• Contribute to cross-functional system architecture, design reviews, and technical decision-making.
• Write and maintain automation, tools, and test suites (scripting in Python/Lua where appropriate).
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including code reviews, CI/CD, monitoring, and incident response.

Minimum Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• 2+ years designing and architecting scalable systems or infrastructure.
• Proficiency in at least one systems programming language (C/C++ or Rust preferred); comfortable scripting in Python.
• Experience with system-level programming, operating systems, kernel internals, or virtualization.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals: testing, code reviews, debugging, and performance analysis.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with hypervisors, device drivers, or firmware integration.
• Experience optimizing for high-performance compute and large memory footprints.
• Background in Linux kernel internals, OS tooling, or low-level hardware interfaces.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, distributed systems, and CI/CD for infrastructure code.
• Experience with Rust or multi-language codebases and safety/performance tradeoffs.

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive annual salary range: $165,200 - $223,600 (USD).
