What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring backend Software Engineers to build the core of an AI system that processes insurance claims end to end. You will:
- Build and ship backend systems across product and infrastructure using Python
- Design and improve agentic AI workflows that accelerate claims processing
- Own problems end-to-end and ship quickly under fast deadlines
- Raise the technical bar through strong code review and feedback culture
- Collaborate with ML researchers, product, and operations to deliver reliable production systems
What We're Looking For
We are seeking candidates who:
- Have 1–7 years of software engineering experience (strong internships considered for newer grads)
- Demonstrate strong Python and backend fundamentals
- Possess high agency, ownership, and a strong work ethic
- Show standout signals such as attendance at a top technical school, 0–3 years at a leading tech company, fast-scaling startup experience, or competition accolades (e.g., ICPC, IOI)
Compensation & Equity
- Base pay: $165,000 – $250,000 per year
- Series A equity (competitive)
- Final offer will be based on skills and experience
Work Model & Location
- Location: San Francisco, CA
- Work model: Onsite (fully in-person)
