About the Role

Confidential Client is hiring a hands-on Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain web applications that power the design-to-production workflow for on-demand manufacturing. You will work closely with Product, Production, Design, and Support to ship features, improve tooling, and solve practical problems that affect customers and internal operations.

This position is based onsite in Reno, NV.

What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality software features in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
• Build and maintain tools to validate and improve customer CAD files and production inputs
• Improve internal processes and automation to support increased order volume
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
• Participate in code reviews and collaborate to improve system quality
• Optimize database queries and application performance
• Communicate status, progress, and roadblocks clearly to leadership and teammates
• Work cross-functionally with Product, Production, Design, and Support to deliver meaningful improvements
• Continuously learn and grow your technical skills

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 2+ years shipping production software
• Experience with modern web back-end frameworks such as Ruby on Rails or Python/Django
• Experience with a modern JavaScript framework (Vue or React)
• Experience building end-to-end web applications
• Familiarity with relational databases and basic data modeling
• Ability to write well-tested, maintainable code
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail — (bonus: include an interesting animal fact in your application)
• Comfortable collaborating in cross-functional teams and focused on user experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails
• Experience with Vue or similar front-end frameworks
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Interest or experience in manufacturing, automation, or physical products

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• This role is based onsite in a fast-paced, collaborative environment requiring regular communication and coordination across teams
• The position may require time in or around a manufacturing facility with exposure to moderate noise, moving equipment, and industrial conditions
• Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods
• Ability to use a computer, phone, and other standard office equipment
• Ability to move throughout an office and manufacturing environment as needed

• Salary: $105,000 - $150,000 annually
