What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring early-career Software Engineers to join a defense-focused IT team at Redstone Arsenal, AL. You will support system and software engineering activities across development efforts that require rigorous requirements, architecture, and verification discipline.
- Help create and update system- and software-related architecture artifacts; ensure design decisions align to cost/schedule/risk constraints.
- Assist with defining and analyzing requirements; support requirements allocation, traceability, and documenting verification approaches.
- Support integration of MBSE tools/methods and other digital engineering toolchains per program plans and the SEMP.
- Collaborate with systems engineers, architects, and verification teams to implement and verify designs.
- Participate in design reviews, test planning, and documentation needed for compliance and engineering rigor.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications — Associate Software Engineer (T01)
- Completing or completed a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Major in Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software Development, or a closely related discipline.
- Must be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a prerequisite).
Basic Qualifications — Software Engineer (T02)
- Completing or completed a master’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Major in Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software Development, or a closely related discipline.
- Must be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a prerequisite).
Preferred Qualifications
- Cumulative GPA of 3.70/4.0 or higher.
- Previous internship/co‑op or relevant work experience.
- Demonstrated teamwork, leadership, and strong interpersonal/communication skills.
- Familiarity or coursework in MBSE, model-based tools, requirements management, or software architecture.
Compensation & Additional Details
- Employment type: Full‑time.
- Salary ranges (provided by source):
- Associate Software Engineer (T01): $72,700 - $109,100 per year.
- Software Engineer (T02): $87,600 - $131,400 per year.
- Relocation assistance: May be available.
- Clearance: Clearance is not required to start, but candidates must be eligible to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship required for clearance roles).
- Location: Redstone Arsenal, AL (on-site or as described by program requirements).
