Software Engineer (React.js, SQL)

What You’ll Do
This is a hands-on engineering role focused on building and maintaining web applications using React and relational databases. As a Software Engineer (React.js, SQL) with our client (Confidential Client), you will:
- Build and iterate on user-facing features using React.js
- Design, write, and optimize SQL queries and interact with relational databases
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to ship high-quality features
- Participate in code reviews and maintain coding standards
- Troubleshoot production issues and improve application performance and reliability
- Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality
- Contribute to API integration and backend collaboration as needed
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience building production applications with React.js
- Hands-on experience with SQL and working with relational databases
- Strong JavaScript fundamentals (ES6+) and familiarity with modern frontend tooling
- Experience with version control (Git) and collaborative workflows
- Solid problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with TypeScript
- Familiarity with state management libraries (e.g., Redux) or React context patterns
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs and working with backend services
- Experience with automated testing frameworks for frontend (e.g., Jest, React Testing Library)
- Familiarity with CI/CD workflows and basic cloud platform concepts
