Software Engineer - Radar Modeling and Simulation
The Software Engineer will develop and maintain high-performance C++ software for radar modeling, scene simulation, and signal processing within digital twin environments. This role requires collaboration with technical teams to translate customer needs into Agile tasks, conduct code reviews, and verify system behavior through testing, ensuring robust and high-fidelity radar simulations. Candidates with strong object-oriented programming skills and the ability to obtain a U.S. DoD SECRET security clearance are preferred.

What You’ll Do
As a Software Engineer focused on radar modeling and simulation for our confidential client, you will design, implement, and maintain high-performance C++ software used for radar modeling, scene simulation, signal processing, and radar control inside digital-twin environments. You will work within an Agile team to translate customer requirements into tasks, participate in design and code reviews, write unit and integration tests, and verify system behavior.
- Design, implement, and optimize C++ modules for radar modeling, signal processing, and simulation
- Integrate simulation components into digital-twin and scenario-generation frameworks
- Create and maintain automated tests and verification suites
- Participate in Agile planning, sprint ceremonies, and technical design reviews
- Collaborate with systems engineers, architects, and other developers to meet requirements and performance targets
- Debug performance and numerical issues in complex simulation pipelines
- Produce clear technical documentation for modules and APIs
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related STEM field, plus at least 2 years of relevant experience
- Strong proficiency in C++ and object-oriented design (experience with Java or C# is also relevant)
- Experience with numerical methods, signal processing, or simulation frameworks
- Familiarity with version control (Git), C++ build systems, and unit testing frameworks
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams
- U.S. citizenship or lawful ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD SECRET security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building real-time or high-performance simulation software
- Background in radar systems, RF modeling, or physics-based simulation
- Familiarity with digital twin concepts and scene-generation tools
- Experience optimizing C++ for multi-threaded or GPU-accelerated workloads

- C++ (primary) — modern C++ best practices
- Object-oriented programming (Java, C# familiarity helpful)
- Signal processing concepts and numerical stability
- Git, CI/CD pipelines, and test-driven development
- Profiling and debugging tools for performance tuning
