Role Overview

Confidential Client (Retail) is hiring a Software Engineer for a hybrid role at its Legacy West support center in Plano, TX. You will design, build, test, and deploy integration and cloud-based applications (examples: Mulesoft, Azure Data Factory). This is an individual-contributor role working within agile teams to develop and support integration programs, deliver high-quality code, and provide production support when needed.

What You’ll Do

• Write and modify high-quality code to implement business requirements for integration and cloud applications (approx. 60%).
• Troubleshoot production issues and deliver timely break-fixes and support (approx. 25%).
• Unit test your code, participate in code reviews, and document development work (approx. 10%).
• Follow SDLC documentation requirements and comply with Payment Card Industry (PCI) standards where applicable (approx. 5%).
• Collaborate with Dev Leads, Architects, and cross-functional teams to identify optimization opportunities and implement enhancements.
• Participate in agile ceremonies including requirements gathering, sprint planning, and delivery.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience with cloud and scripting technologies such as Azure (Azure Data Factory), AWS, Python, JavaScript, and Node.js.
• Experience with integration platforms (e.g., Mulesoft) and building/deploying integration programs.
• Strong knowledge of server-side languages such as Java and/or C#.
• Proven ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and deliver consistent results with minimal supervision.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with unit testing, code review practices, and standard SDLC processes.
• Ability to comply with industry security and compliance practices (PCI awareness preferred).
• This is a Hybrid role based in Plano, TX. Confidential Client does not provide visa sponsorship for this position; applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S.
