- Analyze and tune database and application performance using indexing, execution plans, and query optimization.
- Participate in code reviews, maintain coding standards, and improve CI/CD and automated testing pipelines.
- Monitor and troubleshoot production systems and scheduled data workloads; support incident response and remediation.
- Use AI-assisted development tools responsibly to increase productivity, improve code quality, and accelerate problem solving.
- Create and maintain technical documentation: architecture diagrams, data flows, runbooks, and operational procedures.
- Mentor junior developers and help establish Python development standards and engineering best practices.

To be considered, candidates should demonstrate:
- Professional experience building applications in Python.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server (complex queries, stored procedures, performance tuning).
- Experience designing, consuming, and documenting RESTful APIs.
- Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals: design patterns, testing strategies, source control, and CI/CD concepts.
- Ability to analyze complex technical and business problems and deliver practical, maintainable solutions.
- Strong written and verbal communication; comfortable collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
These will help you stand out:
- Experience with FastAPI, OpenAPI/Swagger, or similar frameworks.
- Prior mentoring or technical leadership experience.
- Experience in Agile development environments.
- Familiarity with enterprise applications, containerized deployments, and automated testing.
- Experience applying AI-assisted development tools in a production engineering workflow.
How You’ll Work
