Overview

Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Software Engineer to join an engineering team that builds healthcare-focused SaaS products. In this role you’ll participate across the software development lifecycle—design, implementation, testing, and support—while learning clinical and financial workflows that power care delivery systems. This is an on-site position in Overland Park, KS.

What You’ll Do

• Participate fully in the software development life cycle including requirement analysis, design, development, testing and deployment.
• Design, build and deliver software solutions with guidance from senior engineers.
• Run and analyze software tests; perform root-cause analysis and fix defects.
• Participate in and receive feedback from code reviews.
• Learn relevant clinical and financial workflows and apply that domain knowledge to product work.
• Identify and implement technical solutions to meet business requirements.
• Explore and adopt new tools and techniques to solve problems.
• Be available for occasional rotational on-call support outside normal business hours.

Qualifications

Required

• Ability to work onsite in Overland Park, Kansas.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Strong understanding of programming language syntax and semantics.
• Familiarity with relational databases, data modeling and SQL scripting.
• Knowledge or interest in cloud-based SaaS architectures.
• Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies independently.
• Reliable time management and the ability to deliver quality work on schedule.

Preferred

• Technical internship experience at a software company or healthcare organization.

Additional details

• This position is not available for visa sponsorship.

• The role may require participation in an on-call rotation that includes availability outside standard business hours.
