Role overview

Join Confidential Client’s corporate Dev team as a Software Engineer supporting Off‑Site Manufacturing (OSM). You will build and maintain production web applications (primarily TypeScript) that help OSM teams manage scheduling, materials, capacity, and other operational workflows. This is a core software-engineering role with end-to-end ownership — not a help-desk or departmental-automation job.

What You'll Do

  • Partner with OSM project managers to understand needs, define outcomes, and turn ideas into reliable solutions.
  • Consult lane managers and shop leaders to incorporate operational knowledge and validate designs.
  • Administer the OSM GitHub organization; define standards, guardrails, and a review process so domain experts can contribute safely.
  • Build and improve production web applications, primarily using TypeScript and modern web frameworks.
  • Integrate with centralized data platforms, databases, and APIs provided by the core team.
  • Own delivery and maintenance for OSM applications: design, implementation, testing, deployment, observability, documentation, issue triage, and user support.
  • Coordinate with help desk and core platform teams when issues cross system boundaries.
  • Validate solutions with users and iterate using evidence and feedback.

What We're Looking For

Required (basic qualifications)

  • Experience building production web applications in TypeScript or similar (JavaScript/Node.js).
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs, databases, and common integration patterns.
  • Comfortable using GitHub for source control and code review; willing to help shape contribution processes.
  • Strong collaboration skills — able to work with project managers, operations leaders, and platform engineers.
  • Demonstrated attention to quality: testing, observability, and maintainability.
  • Eligible to work in the US and able to be onsite in Buda, TX as required.

Preferred

  • Prior exposure to manufacturing, construction, or operational workflows.
  • Experience with centralized data platforms, microservices, or cloud-hosted data APIs.
  • Hands-on experience administering GitHub organizations or similar governance tooling.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, observability tools, and production incident workflows.

Notes

  • Seniority: Entry level (with expectations for ownership and production responsibility).
  • Employment type: Full-time.
  • Industry: Construction.
  • Travel: Limited and purposeful. Expect more shop time during onboarding; thereafter travel is occasional and driven by work needs.

Working conditions & culture

Confidential Client’s corporate Dev team values practical, maintainable solutions that empower operations teams. You will work closely with operational stakeholders and other engineering teams, and you should be prepared to validate software in real workflows. The role offers meaningful production ownership, growth opportunities, and exposure to cross-functional engineering practices.
