What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring a Software Engineer - Orthopedic to design and build software features that support orthopedic surgery practices (hand and upper‑extremity focus). You will work closely with clinicians, product, and design to turn clinical workflows into secure, reliable software.

  • Develop new features and enhancements for an orthopedic-focused marketing and clinical platform
  • Build integrations with EHR/EMR systems and medical imaging systems
  • Write well-tested, maintainable code and participate in code reviews
  • Collaborate with clinicians to model workflows and validate product functionality
  • Troubleshoot performance issues and optimize system reliability and security

Who You Are / Qualifications

  • Experience in software development; interest or experience in healthcare/medical applications preferred
  • Strong coding skills (backend and/or frontend) and experience producing tested, production-quality code
  • Experience with integrations (APIs, HL7/FHIR or similar) or willingness to learn clinical system integrations
  • Comfortable working collaboratively with cross-functional teams including clinicians and product managers
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to user-centered design

Nice-to-Haves

  • Prior experience working with EHR/EMR integrations or medical imaging systems
  • Familiarity with HIPAA-conscious development practices and data security in healthcare
  • Experience in a SaaS environment or building clinician-facing products

Location & Work Authorization

This role is based in Rancho Cordova, CA. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States; Confidential Client will review work-authorization requirements on a case-by-case basis.
