What You’ll Do

Confidential Client’s Notifications squad builds the systems and client experiences that deliver high-value, high-signal notifications to millions of users. As a member of the Notifications team you will:

• Own well-scoped projects end-to-end — from design and implementation to monitoring and iteration.
• Improve client device experiences for receiving notifications and managing notification preferences.
• Build and maintain the platform that enables other teams to send timely, relevant notifications at scale.
• Partner with Machine Learning engineers to optimize global notification signals and quality.
• Maintain a high quality bar for operational health, reliability, and client performance.
• Collaborate with Product and Design to balance user delight, impact, and speed of delivery.

What You Should Have

• 2+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in one or more of Python, Elixir, or TypeScript, and eagerness to learn new languages and tools.
• A track record of delivering high-quality software reliably and on time.
• Strong attention to detail and a quality-first mindset.
• Collaborative mindset: you help teammates grow through empathetic feedback.
• Customer-focused approach and comfort working toward clear, measurable team goals.

Nice to Have

• Prior experience building or improving notification systems or working on growth-focused teams.
• Familiarity with large-scale client or infrastructure systems.
• Experience pairing with machine learning teams to bring model-driven signals into production.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary range: $160,000—$200,000 USD (base pay only). This role is also eligible for equity and benefits. Final salary within the range will be determined by factors such as experience, skills, and location.
• Confidential Client offers standard benefits packages (healthcare, retirement, time-off) and equity — specifics will be shared during the hiring process.
