What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is seeking a Software Engineer to design and deliver enterprise-scale backend systems with a focus on reliability, performance, and clean engineering practices. You will work on resilient microservices and data pipelines that process high-volume, real-time data for mission-critical operations.

• Design and implement high-performance back-end services using Java 11+ and Spring Boot
• Build microservices and event-driven architectures for real-time processing
• Develop and maintain data integration components across Snowflake and SQL Server
• Implement Redis-based caching and optimize for low-latency data access
• Work with distributed streaming platforms to process and route event data
• Champion code quality: testing, automation, CI/CD, observability, and performance tuning
• Troubleshoot production incidents and contribute to system reliability and capacity planning

What We're Looking For

• Professional experience in Java development and object-oriented design
• Strong knowledge of Spring Boot and REST API design
• Hands-on experience with SQL Server (queries, stored procedures, performance tuning)
• Experience with Redis and distributed event streaming platforms (Kafka or similar)
• Familiarity with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake and data pipeline concepts
• Strong debugging, performance profiling, and systems-thinking skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills within cross-functional teams

Nice to Have

• Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Background in low-latency or high-throughput financial systems
• Familiarity with monitoring/observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
• Exposure to modern front-end frameworks (for occasional full-stack tasks)
• Prior work with AI-assisted coding tools and automated testing frameworks
