What You’ll Do

This is a hands-on application development role supporting business systems and integrations in a financial-services environment. You will design, build, test, deploy, and maintain applications and support change-management activities while working closely with business users, project teams, and external vendors.

  • Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot applications using .NET technologies (C#, ASP.NET) and related toolsets.
  • Design and optimize database objects and queries in Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Implement front-end features using Angular or React when required.
  • Participate in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC): requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and deployment notes.
  • Coordinate application change management and deployment activities with operations and release teams.
  • Perform application testing, issue investigation, root-cause analysis, and resolution.
  • Communicate effectively with business stakeholders, project managers, and third-party vendors to deliver requirements on schedule.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional application development experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft SQL Server (schema design, stored procedures, performance tuning).
  • Experience with one or more of: Angular, React, ASP.NET, C#, VB.NET, Visual Studio.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD, deployment processes, and application change control.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to work independently and in a team.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline — or equivalent experience.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States (U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident). No C2C arrangements.
  • Must be local to the New York City metropolitan area and able to work on-site as required.
  • English proficiency required.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

  • Experience implementing systems for the banking or financial services industry (wholesale banking, lending, market risk).
  • Familiarity with SWIFT messaging, payments systems, or treasury workflows.
  • Experience with RPA tools (UiPath Studio) and/or PowerShell automation.
  • SharePoint administration experience.
  • Salesforce integration experience.
  • Prior experience with deployment coordination across multiple environments and vendor-managed systems.

Compensation & Logistics

  • Employment type: Full-time
  • Location: New York City Metropolitan Area — local candidates only
  • Work authorization: U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident required (no C2C)
  • Salary range (provided by client): $70,000–$90,000 per year (base)
