What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring entry-level software engineers who want to build reliable, scalable systems that power real businesses. As a New Grad Software Engineer you will join a cross-functional product team, contribute to design and implementation, and help ship high-quality code that impacts customers globally.

  • Design, implement, test, and operate services and features across frontend, backend, or infrastructure components
  • Work primarily with languages and platforms such as Java, Ruby, JavaScript, Scala, and Go (team-specific stack varies)
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and safe production rollout practices
  • Learn large codebases quickly and collaborate with teammates to unblock delivery
  • Use AI-assisted tools to accelerate development while applying rigorous review and validation of outputs
  • Collaborate with product, design, and security partners to deliver customer-focused solutions

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or a related field (completed by summer 2027), or equivalent practical experience
  • New grad candidates should have no more than 18 months of professional experience (internships excluded)
  • Experience writing code through coursework, projects, or internships; familiarity with at least one modern language (Java, Ruby, JavaScript, Scala, Go, etc.)
  • Experience working on multi-person coding projects (university teams or professional internships)
  • Ability to learn unfamiliar systems independently and with mentorship
  • Clear written communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to leverage AI tools to accelerate development while applying professional judgment to review and validate results

Preferred Qualifications

  • Depth in one area (frontend, backend, infrastructure, or similar) paired with broad engineering fundamentals
  • Experience with code review workflows and safely updating production systems
  • Comfort navigating and contributing to large codebases
  • Track record of leading small projects and contributing to larger efforts
  • High agency in troubleshooting and knowing when to ask for support

In-office expectations

Office-assigned employees are generally expected to spend at least 50% of their time each month in their local office or with customers. Specific expectations vary by team and role; hiring managers will discuss any team-level requirements during the interview process.


Pay & Benefits

  • Annual US base salary range: $122,100 - $134,400. This range may cover multiple career levels and will be narrowed based on experience, qualifications, and location.
  • Additional benefits may include equity, annual bonus or commission (when applicable), 401(k), medical/dental/vision, and wellness stipends.
  • Applicants outside the US may request the local salary range during the interview process.
