What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring entry-level Software Engineers to join teams building AI-powered systems for enterprise customers. You’ll contribute production code from day one and help turn frontier AI capabilities into reliable, secure products.

  • Design, implement, test, and ship production-quality code across the stack (frontend, backend, or infrastructure) while maintaining reliability and security.
  • Collaborate closely with AI Research, Product, Design, and Legal/Enterprise teams to translate problems into product features.
  • Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical decision-making alongside senior engineers.
  • Experiment with and evaluate LLMs and other AI systems; integrate models and retrieval layers into application flows.
  • Work on features that may include document intelligence, retrieval over large collections, agent workflows, enterprise integrations, and multi-region infrastructure.

Who You Are

This role is designed for new graduates (2026–2027) who are curious about applied AI and have solid CS fundamentals.

  • New graduate (Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field; graduating Winter 2026–Spring 2027).
  • Internship experience required — demonstrable software project(s) or internships where you shipped code.
  • Comfortable using one or more languages such as Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, Java, Go, or similar.
  • Strong general computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, systems design basics).
  • Bias toward action: you build, iterate, and learn quickly; you prioritize simple, maintainable solutions.
  • Comfortable using AI-assisted development tools and curious about embedding LLMs into product workflows.
  • Able to work from the New York office starting January 2027 (relocation support available).

Preferred / Differentiating Experience

  • Internship experience at an early-stage startup or fast-moving engineering team.
  • Experience with frontend frameworks (React, TypeScript) or backend services (Python, Go, Java).
  • Familiarity with retrieval systems, information retrieval concepts, or document processing.
  • Exposure to LLMs, model evaluation, prompt engineering, or applied AI tooling.

Compensation & Location

  • Base salary (posted): $165,000 - $181,500 (USD).
  • Location: New York, NY. This position requires the ability to work from the New York office starting January 2027; relocation support is available.
  • Employment type: Full-time.

Why This Role

  • Work at the intersection of applied AI and enterprise software within the Software Development industry.
  • Accelerated ownership and fast growth — contribute directly to customer-facing products early in your career.
  • Cross-functional exposure to research, product, legal, and enterprise teams.
