Role Overview

Confidential Client is seeking a skilled, self-motivated Software Engineer (part-time) to join a small, collaborative team in Mount Pleasant Township, PA. You will help design, build, test, and support reliable software solutions and contribute across the full development lifecycle.

What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable, well-documented software components
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver features
• Write clean, efficient code following industry best practices and coding standards
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback
• Troubleshoot, debug, and improve existing systems to ensure reliability and performance
• Help refine development processes and adopt improvements that increase team productivity

Qualifications

• Proven professional experience as a Software Engineer or similar development role
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred — or equivalent practical experience
• Strong proficiency in at least one major programming language (examples: Java, Python, C++, JavaScript)
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles
• Experience or familiarity with Agile / Scrum development methodologies
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage time and deliver results in a part-time capacity

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

• Experience writing unit and integration tests
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git)
• Exposure to cloud platforms or containerization (AWS, Azure, Docker)
• Prior experience working on small teams or startups

• Employment type: PART_TIME
• Location: Mount Pleasant Township, PA (on-site or hybrid as defined by the confidential client)
• This role may require periodic collaboration during core team hours; schedule flexibility is expected for a part-time position
