Role overview

Confidential Client (via Careertakes) is hiring an entry-level Software Engineer with AI/ML focus for a hybrid position in Minneapolis, MN. This full-time role is well suited to candidates with 1–5 years of hands-on experience building machine learning models and production-ready data pipelines.

What You’ll Do

• Contribute to design, development, and evaluation of ML models and data preprocessing pipelines.
• Implement, train, and test models using Python and common ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate models into applications and services.
• Run experiments, monitor model performance, and implement improvements based on metrics.
• Document models, experiments, and deployment steps to support reproducibility and handoffs.

Required Qualifications

• 1–5 years of practical experience in AI/ML engineering or related software engineering roles.
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Hands-on experience with data preprocessing, model training, validation, and evaluation.
• Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms and best practices.
• Familiarity with at least one ML framework or library such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. — U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents (green card holders), and current H‑1B visa holders will be considered.

Nice to Have

• Experience or interest in Generative AI, large language models (LLMs), and NLP.
• Familiarity with model deployment, MLOps practices, or production monitoring.
• Exposure to cloud platforms and containerization (e.g., AWS, GCP, Docker).
