About the Role

We are working with a confidential client in Financial Services to find a Software Engineer to join an engineering team focused on shipping production software in an AI-native environment. This is a full-time role based in Michigan (MI), US.

You will use AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Anthropic Claude Code, Cursor or similar) as part of your daily workflow, contribute to design and code reviews, and help deliver iterative value to internal and external stakeholders.


What You’ll Do

  • Develop, test, release, and validate complex software solutions.
  • Use AI code-generation and assistant tools as part of design, coding, testing, and debugging workflows.
  • Participate in architecture and design reviews, and contribute reusable modules and patterns.
  • Support production systems, including incident resolution and blameless postmortems.
  • Write documentation and demos for technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Collaborate in Agile processes: user stories, backlog refinement, sprint planning.
  • Mentor and provide direction to less-experienced engineers when needed.

Qualifications (Minimum)

  • Proven ability to solve problems by developing software using established patterns and best practices.
  • Experience with one or more of the team’s common languages/frameworks: C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Angular, and/or AWS.
  • Experience using AI code generation tools such as GitHub Copilot, Anthropic Claude Code, Cursor, or similar.
  • Familiarity with integration testing, release support, and ongoing production support.
  • Comfortable working in Agile teams and contributing to Agile artifacts.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
  • ~3 years of professional software engineering or similar experience.
  • Experience building reusable modules/patterns and supporting CI/CD pipelines.
  • Cloud development experience or cloud provider certification (AWS preferred).
  • Agile certification and experience mentoring peers.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence engineering practices and provide technical leadership.

On-Call Expectations

This role may participate in an on-call rotation to support production systems. On-call duties can include night and weekend coverage; frequency and scheduling are determined by team needs and communicated to the team.
