What You’ll Do

This is an entry-level Software Engineer role focused on marketing automation, platform configuration, and cross-system integrations. You will partner with IT, Marketing Operations, and Sales Operations to keep marketing systems reliable, scalable, and compliant.

  • Support user account creation, access permissions, and role governance across marketing automation and CRM platforms.
  • Translate stakeholder requirements into technical configurations, reusable templates, and scalable operational solutions in a marketing automation platform.
  • Maintain platform architecture — folder structures, naming conventions, tokens, and operational program frameworks.
  • Build and maintain field mappings and synchronization logic between marketing platforms and CRM (e.g., Salesforce), supporting schema alignment and data quality.
  • Clone, configure, and test forms, landing pages, and web assets in Sandbox and Production environments using HTML/CSS fundamentals.
  • Troubleshoot sync issues between systems (field conflicts, validation errors, API failures) and escalate to senior engineers as needed.
  • Assist with datatype changes, schema updates, and cross-system compatibility checks to keep integrations stable.
  • Support Sandbox refresh activities: configuration audits, asset restoration, and sync re-establishment.
  • Help build and maintain trigger-based campaigns, automated workflows, and nurture programs.
  • Assist with segmentation setup, audience management, and basic data governance practices.
  • Monitor system health and campaign performance dashboards; flag issues to senior team members.
  • Support data quality and compliance standards across marketing and CRM systems.

Who You Are (Minimum Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field — or equivalent practical experience.
  • Approximately 1–2 years in a technical, engineering, or systems support role.
  • Working knowledge of HTML and CSS; exposure to basic JavaScript is a plus.
  • Understanding of how APIs and webhooks work, or strong aptitude to learn integration concepts quickly.
  • Interest in or exposure to CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.) and/or marketing automation platforms. Prior hands-on Marketo experience is not required.
  • Comfortable working with structured data: field mapping, data types, and schema logic.
  • Strong problem-solving instincts and willingness to troubleshoot systematically.
  • Clear communicator; able to explain technical issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Eligible to work in the United States.

Additional Desired (Nice to Have)

  • Any exposure to Marketo, HubSpot, Pardot, or similar marketing automation tools.
  • Familiarity with CRM objects (Leads / Contacts / Accounts / Opportunities).
  • Coursework or personal projects involving REST APIs or third‑party integrations (ad platforms like Google, Meta, or LinkedIn).
  • Certifications (e.g., Marketo, Salesforce Admin) are a plus but not required.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • None — this is an individual contributor role.
