What You’ll Do

As a Software Engineer working with our Confidential Client you'll design, build, and operate cloud-native applications. Responsibilities include:

• Develop and maintain backend services using Python and Go.
• Design, deploy, and operate applications on AWS (CI/CD, IaC, managed services).
• Optimize code and systems for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and lead debugging efforts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, QA, data science, and client stakeholders).
• Apply fundamental machine learning concepts where applicable to product features.
• Contribute to architecture discussions, code reviews, and best-practice documentation.

What We’re Looking For

Minimum qualifications and skills:

• 3–6 years professional development experience building production-grade services.
• Hands-on experience with Python and Go in a distributed systems context.
• Practical experience using AWS services (e.g., EC2, Lambda, ECS/EKS, RDS, S3, CloudWatch).
• Familiarity with cloud-native architectures, containers, and orchestration.
• Strong debugging, profiling, and performance-tuning skills.
• Basic understanding of machine learning concepts and integrating ML models into services.
• Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with remote or distributed teams.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science or related field preferred.

Preferred (nice-to-have):

• Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Familiarity with observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, X-Ray).
• Experience deploying models or pipelines in production.

• Office location: Los Angeles, CA (authoritative).
• Work arrangement: Telecommute / Remote-friendly (TELECOMMUTE). Candidates should be able to work overlapping hours with the Los Angeles / Pacific Time team as needed.
