Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain Python-based applications and backend services.
• Build and consume RESTful APIs and integrate with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Write clean, efficient, well-documented, and reusable code following best practices.
• Work with Python web frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Participate in code reviews, unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting.
• Assist with application deployment, CI/CD pipelines, and basic production support.
• Use Git for version control and collaborate with cross-functional teams (QA, product, analysts).
• Create and maintain technical documentation and follow secure coding/data protection practices.
• Identify and help resolve basic performance issues and implement improvements.

Required Qualifications

• Strong fundamentals in Python programming, object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms.
• Familiarity with Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Basic understanding of REST APIs, client-server architecture, and web application patterns.
• Experience or coursework with SQL and relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Familiarity with Git and typical version-control workflows.
• Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Understanding of software testing concepts and debugging techniques.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills; ability to work on a team.
• Open to relocating to Los Angeles, CA (required).

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to MongoDB or other NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with Pandas, NumPy, or Requests libraries.
• Basic experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with Docker and containerized application workflows.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and deployment processes.
• Comfortable with basic Linux commands and system administration.
• Experience with unit-testing frameworks such as pytest or unittest.
• Awareness of authentication methods (OAuth, JWT) and secure API practices.
• Experience working in Agile / Scrum teams.
• Internship, academic projects, freelance work, or hands-on Python projects are a plus.

• Employment type: FULL_TIME
• Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour (USD)
