What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is seeking a mid-level Software Engineer (Level 2) for a 6-month contract-to-hire engagement based in Hyde Park, UT. You will spend roughly 70–80% of your time on backend development, building and supporting C#/.NET web applications, APIs, and SQL Server databases. You’ll work closely with product, QA, and other engineering team members to translate business requirements into reliable software solutions.


Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, debug, and maintain C#/.NET applications (including .NET Core, ASP.NET, MVC).
  • Design, build, and support RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs and web services.
  • Build and maintain SQL Server databases, stored procedures, functions, and optimized queries.
  • Translate business requirements into reliable, well-documented software solutions.
  • Troubleshoot application and production issues and participate in incident resolution.
  • Participate across the software development lifecycle: design, code reviews, testing, and deployments.
  • Write clean, maintainable code and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members to deliver projects on schedule.

Qualifications

  • 4–5 years of professional C#/.NET development experience.
  • Hands-on experience with .NET Core, ASP.NET, MVC, LINQ, and Web API.
  • 4–5 years of SQL Server (or equivalent) experience with strong stored-procedure skills.
  • Experience with JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, JSON, and responsive web development.
  • Experience developing APIs with REST and/or GraphQL.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (per source posting).

Preferred / Bonus Skills

  • Experience with React, Angular, or Vue.
  • Agile / Scrum experience.
  • Cloud application development (Azure, AWS).
  • Database performance optimization and tuning.
  • Automated testing, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.

Compensation & Contract

  • 6‑month contract-to-hire engagement.
  • Contract pay: $48 to $63 per hour.
  • Conversion salary (if hired full-time): $100,000 to $130,000 per year.
  • Employment type: Contractor with potential conversion to full-time.
  • Offers may be contingent on background checks and standard pre-employment screening where permitted by law.

Location & Work Model

  • On-site in Hyde Park, UT. Local candidates or those willing to relocate/commute preferred.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
