Role Overview

Confidential Client is hiring a Software Engineer to join their enterprise technology team in Laconia, NH. In this hands-on role you'll design, develop, and maintain internal web applications that support business processes across multiple departments. Ideal candidates enjoy solving practical business problems with reliable software and working directly with end users and stakeholders.

What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain internal web-based applications using PHP
• Integrate applications with SQL databases, REST APIs, and ERP/line-of-business systems
• Work with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Troubleshoot production issues, optimize performance, and deliver ongoing enhancements
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to application architecture and best practices
• Produce documentation, runbooks, and support deployment/maintenance activities

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field — or equivalent experience
• Strong hands-on experience developing with PHP and SQL databases
• Solid knowledge of web technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and RESTful APIs
• Experience integrating with enterprise business systems and workflows (ERP experience is a plus)
• Comfortable communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Familiarity with modern PHP frameworks (Laravel, Symfony, etc.), version control (Git), and agile practices is preferred
