What You’ll Do
- Prepare software engineering design documentation and technical artifacts.
- Use modern software development tools in an agile environment to design, develop, integrate, and test software for the Aegis Display Subsystem.
- Develop object‑oriented C++ and Java code in a Linux environment.
- Contribute to CI/CD, container-based deployments, and Kubernetes-driven workflows — deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot containerized services.
- Prepare and present engineering material during peer reviews and to customers as appropriate.
- Travel to customer sites as needed to investigate, test, or integrate software fixes.
- Participate in code reviews, unit and integration testing, and continuous delivery processes.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. citizen and hold an active Department of Defense Secret clearance.
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field.
- Minimum 1 year of professional software engineering experience.
- At least 1 year of professional experience with C++ in a production setting.
- Experience with Java and Linux development environments.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes tools, containerization, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with agile development practices and software documentation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to present technical material to peers and customers.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites when required.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: $85,000 – $100,000 per year.
