What You’ll Do
You will join a cross-functional engineering team building back-end services and APIs that power web products and AI-enabled features for a Confidential Client in the Marketing Services industry.
- Design, build, test, and deploy scalable back-end services using Node.js and TypeScript
- Implement and consume RESTful APIs and microservices
- Integrate AI-assisted features and workflows (AI coding, prompt engineering, tool integrations)
- Collaborate with product, design, and QA to ship reliable, well-tested software
- Work with CI/CD pipelines (CircleCI or equivalent) and feature flagging tools (LaunchDarkly or equivalent)
- Contribute to Infrastructure as Code (preferably CDK) and automated deployments
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and remediate production issues using CloudWatch and observability tooling
- Write clean, secure, and maintainable code; participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing
What We're Looking For
- 2–4 years of professional web or back-end development experience (or strong project/internship experience)
- Proficiency with Node.js and TypeScript
- Experience building and integrating RESTful APIs
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and distributed systems patterns
- Working knowledge of relational and/or NoSQL databases (Postgres and/or MongoDB)
- Exposure to AWS services such as API Gateway, Lambda, SQS/SNS, S3, CloudWatch, and CloudFormation
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (CDK preferred)
- Experience or familiarity with CI/CD practices and tools (CircleCI or equivalent)
- Version control with Git and collaboration in Agile teams
- Strong communication, problem-solving skills, and a team-first mindset
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
Nice to Have
- Experience with Next.js or full-stack frameworks
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Devin) or prompt engineering
- Familiarity with LaunchDarkly (feature flags) or similar systems
- Experience with CloudFormation or advanced IaC patterns
- Background in observability, monitoring, and production incident response
