About the Role

This is a front-end–focused, full-stack Software Engineer role on a small, high-trust engineering team at a fast-growing, remote Information Services SaaS company that sits at the intersection of payments and data intelligence. You’ll own UI features end-to-end, collaborate with backend engineers, and help shape the front-end practice as the first dedicated front-end hire on the team.

What You’ll Do

• Own front-end features from UI/UX implementation through shipping using JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, and React (Vite preferred).
• Build and maintain outlying UI services that present backend data to users.
• Integrate front-end components with shared backend services and APIs.
• Ramp quickly to independently handle most non-architectural tickets (form changes, UX changes, feature work).
• Use AI-assisted development tools productively while verifying and taking ownership of delivered code.
• Work closely with a small, backend-leaning engineering team; backend exposure to Java, Scala, or C# is a plus.
• Communicate clearly and incorporate feedback quickly; run with work autonomously once given direction.

What We’re Looking For

• 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience with deep experience in JavaScript/TypeScript and React.
• Strong practical experience building component-driven front-end applications; Vite experience is a plus.
• Comfortable working autonomously in a small-company environment—able to accept direction, iterate on feedback, and independently deliver.
• Thoughtful, productive use of AI coding tools while being able to catch and correct tool-generated mistakes.
• Bonus: familiarity with backend languages (Java, Scala, C#) and full-stack integration.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Role Logistics

• Employment type: Full-time.
• Work location: 100% remote (U.S.-based candidates only). Approximately two weeks per year of company travel for in-person team gatherings.
• Preference given to candidates near Salt Lake City, UT; Philadelphia, PA; or Chicago, IL — exceptional candidates elsewhere will be considered.

Interview Process & Assessment

• Take-home skills assessment (submit via GitHub/Bitbucket or zip). AI tool use on the assessment is welcomed and will be graded the same day.
• Short conversational interviews with engineering and leadership team members.
• Final in-person meeting before an offer is signed.
