What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is seeking a Software Engineer (Java) to contribute to full‑stack development work supporting aerospace and defense programs. You will design, build, test, and maintain software components and user-facing features while working closely with analysts, systems engineers, and other developers.
- Produce maintainable, well‑tested Java-based software based on user and analyst requirements
- Implement RESTful web services and integrate backend systems with frontend interfaces
- Contribute to continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and automated testing
- Work with JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks (Angular) to deliver responsive user experiences
- Use analytics and search tools (ELK / ElasticSearch) to instrument and troubleshoot applications
- Participate in design sessions, code reviews, and iterative feedback loops with teammates and stakeholders
What You’ll Bring (Required)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong Java programming skills and a solid understanding of Java language concepts (required)
- Experience with one or more of: JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Angular, ElasticSearch (ELK), Redis, RESTful Web Services, SQL/NoSQL databases
- Experience working on full-stack projects and a willingness to adopt appropriate tools and architectures for the mission
- Effective verbal and written communication skills; comfortable collaborating in design and whiteboard sessions
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
- Experience with data analytics pipelines or digital signal processing
- Prior work with ELK stack tuning and observability tooling
- Hands-on familiarity with Redis or other caching technologies
- Experience integrating Python components with Java services
- Previous exposure to mission-focused or defense-related systems
Clearance & Work Authorization
- This role requires an active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a polygraph. Applicants must already hold the required clearance to be considered.

- Primary work location: Englewood, CO (onsite or as specified by the client).
