What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring a Software Engineer - Intermediate to join its engineering team in Atlanta, GA. You’ll deliver high-quality, secure software by collaborating with engineers, QA, and cross-functional partners.

  • Collaborate with senior engineers and product stakeholders to design, develop, document, and deliver software that meets business requirements.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies (planning, stand-ups, retrospectives) and contribute to sprint goals.
  • Write, review, and maintain secure, testable code following best practices (including OWASP-aware development).
  • Implement unit and integration tests; support QA investigations and bug triage.
  • Work with CI/CD pipelines to automate builds, tests, and deployments.
  • Participate in technical design and architecture discussions and contribute practical solutions to product problems.
  • Research and prototype solutions for defects or feature gaps reported by QA/Support.
  • Continuously learn and apply modern development techniques and tools to improve code quality and delivery velocity.

Qualifications

Basic (required)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • ~2 years of software engineering or technical software analyst experience.
  • Strong programming fundamentals and problem-solving skills.
  • Clear communication skills and ability to work both independently and in team settings.

Preferred

  • 4+ years of software engineering experience.
  • Proficiency in one or more of: .NET, C#, React, SQL.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipeline development and automated testing.
  • Familiarity with code-quality tools such as SonarQube and code-assist tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
  • Knowledge of secure-coding practices and OWASP vulnerability mitigations.

Other

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

Skills & Tools

  • Strong foundation in computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, OOP).
  • Languages & frameworks: .NET, C#, React (or similar).
  • Databases: SQL (querying, schema understanding).
  • Tooling: Git, CI/CD tools, unit/integration test frameworks, SonarQube.
  • Cloud: AWS / Azure / GCP (deployment, basic ops knowledge).
  • Security: familiarity with OWASP risks and secure coding patterns.
  • Agile development processes and collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence, etc.).

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary range: $110,000 - $120,000 annually. Final base pay will depend on job-related knowledge, skills, location, and experience, and will take internal equity into account.
  • Eligible for commission or an annual performance incentive plan (as applicable).
