What You’ll Do

Confidential client is on a mission to transform the U.S. healthcare system by combining deep clinical data with AI to steer members to higher-quality care. As a Software Engineer II on this team, you’ll build systems that scale their clinical analytics, data pipelines, and production services so the platform can reliably serve millions of members and power data-driven decisions.

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs that support high-throughput data processing
• Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and clinicians to turn complex healthcare use-cases into reliable software
• Build and operate data pipelines and production systems that process large, sensitive datasets with a focus on correctness and privacy
• Contribute to system design, architecture discussions, and code reviews; improve observability and reliability
• Write automated tests, documentation, and reliable deployment/runbook material
• Mentor junior engineers and help raise engineering standards across the team

What We’re Looking For

We seek engineers who are motivated by building systems that have measurable, real-world impact on healthcare outcomes and costs. The role expects engineers to be pragmatic, product-focused, and comfortable operating across the stack where necessary.

• Strong engineering fundamentals and a track record of delivering production software (web services, data pipelines, or related systems)
• Experience working with large datasets or services that support data-driven products (healthcare domain experience a plus)
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams (data science, clinical teams, product)
• Commitment to secure and privacy-conscious development practices given the sensitivity of healthcare data

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent practical experience) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
• Demonstrated software engineering experience building and shipping production systems
• Clear communication skills and experience working in a collaborative engineering environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare software, clinical data, or regulated environments
• Familiarity with systems that apply machine learning or AI models in production
• Experience improving system observability, performance tuning, or building resilient distributed services
