About the role

Confidential Client is hiring a Software Engineer II (Hybrid - 2x/week) to join the storeLink engineering team. You will design, build, and support features for a cloud-native retail management platform that powers in-store printing, Electronic Shelf Label (ESL) device management, and digital display management. This is a hybrid role that requires two days per week in-office in Mentor, OH.


What You’ll Do

  • Design, build, test, and maintain scalable microservices using .NET Core (C#) for backend APIs and modern Angular for frontend interfaces.
  • Maintain and optimize MS SQL data structures, T-SQL queries, and managed database instances.
  • Work with Azure cloud components including AKS, Azure Service Bus, Blob Storage, Azure Front Door, Azure AI Search, and Application Insights.
  • Integrate microservices with external systems via REST APIs and support media rendering workflows (PDF/PNG).
  • Manage version control and CI/CD with GitHub and GitHub Actions; support build/release pipelines.
  • Partner with L2 support to triage and resolve escalated production issues.
  • Implement unit and automated integration tests; participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, and task estimation.
  • Adhere to internal security and SOX 404 controls and follow compliance requirements.

Qualifications

  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field with 4+ years of professional software development experience (or MS with 1+ years).
  • Proven experience building enterprise web applications with .NET Core, C#, Angular, and RESTful APIs in a microservices architecture.
  • Strong proficiency in MS SQL / T-SQL: schema design, query optimization, and working with managed DB instances.
  • Practical experience with Azure services (AKS, Service Bus, Blob Storage, Application Insights) and GitHub Actions for CI/CD.
  • Strong debugging, analytical, and communication skills; experience working with support teams and engineering leadership.

Location & Work Model

  • Hybrid: 2 days per week onsite in Mentor, OH.
  • Candidates should be within commutable distance to the Mentor, OH office. (The product team historically maintains offices in other regional locations; local commutability will be considered when filling this role.)

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $75,000 - $111,000 per year. This range represents the employer's good-faith estimate and may vary based on experience, location, and other lawful factors.
