What You’ll Do

Join a Confidential Client engineering team to design, build, and operate scalable backend services, APIs, and full‑stack features. You’ll work across the stack — from backend services and distributed systems to front‑end components — with a focus on performance, reliability, and maintainability. Collaborate with product managers, designers, and cross‑functional engineering teams to ship features that solve real customer problems.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement backend services, RESTful APIs, and integrations
• Build and maintain web frontends and UIs as needed (JavaScript/React)
• Write, test, and debug production‑quality code in Python, Java, Go, or similar languages
• Contribute to system architecture, scalability, and performance improvements
• Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and mentoring of peers
• Work with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment tooling
• Troubleshoot production issues and own end‑to‑end delivery for assigned features

Minimum Qualifications

• Meet one of the following:
  • A Master’s degree with 0 years of professional experience; or
  • A Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of relevant professional experience.
• Degree or relevant experience in Computer Engineering, Software Development, or a related technical field
• Proficiency with one or more backend languages such as Python, Java, or Go
• Experience writing, debugging, and maintaining production code
• Experience developing or supporting software services and APIs
• Familiarity with core engineering workflows and tools (Git, Linux, CI/CD)

Preferred Qualifications

• Frontend expertise with JavaScript/TypeScript, React, HTML, and CSS; strong UI/UX awareness
• Proven full‑stack experience combining frontend and backend development
• Strong background in building scalable distributed systems and microservices
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible)
• Containerization and orchestration experience (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience designing automated CI/CD pipelines and observability tooling
