Role summary

Join a Confidential Client engineering team focused on signup & activation. As a Frontend Software Engineer II (TypeScript / JavaScript), you’ll build high-impact, customer-facing web flows that directly influence user acquisition and activation metrics. This role emphasizes high-quality UI, experimentation (A/B testing), personalization, and collaboration with product, design, data, and backend engineers.


What You’ll Do

  • Design, develop, and maintain frontend components for signup, onboarding, and activation experiences.
  • Implement production-quality React + TypeScript code (component architecture, state management, testing).
  • Build and run A/B tests and personalization experiments to improve conversion and engagement.
  • Collaborate with backend engineers on API integration (REST/GraphQL) and data flows.
  • Improve frontend performance, accessibility (a11y), and cross-device consistency.
  • Contribute to shared UI libraries, monorepo practices, and frontend architecture decisions.
  • Participate in code reviews, write clear docs, and mentor peers on frontend best practices.
  • Triage and resolve frontend issues in production; ship iterative improvements with measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years building and shipping customer-facing frontend applications.
  • Strong TypeScript and JavaScript skills; production React experience.
  • Experience with modern frameworks such as Next.js (or similar SSR/SSG frameworks).
  • Familiarity with Ruby on Rails is a plus (for collaborating with backend teams).
  • Experience integrating with REST APIs; GraphQL experience preferred.
  • Practical knowledge of experimentation platforms, A/B testing, and personalization systems.
  • Solid understanding of accessibility standards, frontend testing (unit/integration), and UI quality.
  • Experience working in shared codebases, monorepos, or design-system-driven projects.
  • Clear written and verbal communication; experience collaborating on distributed/remote teams.
  • Comfortable using AI tools to accelerate development and debugging.

  • Write maintainable code, tests, and documentation; advocate for developer ergonomics.
