Role Overview

This Software Engineer II role is for a Confidential Client building a membership and loyalty platform for carwashes. This is NOT a remote role — you must be available to work a hybrid in-person schedule at the Atlanta office (Atlanta Tech Village). The Confidential Client is looking for a practical, team-oriented engineer who enjoys learning, teaching, and shipping high-quality features.

  • Employment type: FULL_TIME
  • Location: Atlanta, GA (on-site / hybrid)

What You’ll Do

  • Design, build, and maintain front-end and cross-platform customer experiences using modern JavaScript frameworks.
  • Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to deliver reliable production features across mobile, web, and kiosk platforms.
  • Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and team knowledge sharing (lunch-and-learns, hackathons).
  • Write and maintain unit and integration tests; contribute to evolving test-driven development practices.
  • Help evolve CI/CD workflows, branching strategies, and deployment guidelines.
  • Contribute to architectural discussions and data-driven feature planning.

What We Expect You To Know (Required)

  • A modern front-end JavaScript framework (the team uses React + React Native).
  • Solid JavaScript fundamentals (ES6+).
  • Git, branching policies, and source control best practices.
  • Experience working on production web or mobile applications in a team setting.

Bonus / Nice-to-Have Skills

  • TypeScript
  • Node.js (experience with frameworks such as Nest.js)
  • .NET familiarity
  • Cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure, AWS)
  • Data tools (Snowflake) and data visualization experience
  • Test-driven development tools and techniques
  • SDLC / Agile experience
  • Database design and query languages (relational or NoSQL)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in computer science, software engineering, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of professional software development experience (or equivalent demonstrated skills).
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States (the Confidential Client cannot sponsor visas).
