What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is seeking a mid-level Software Engineer II to design, build, test, and maintain scalable, secure software and cloud infrastructure. You will work closely with product owners, architects, and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions and help the team deliver value iteratively.

  • Participate in design and architecture discussions to shape features and system components
  • Implement, unit test, and maintain backend services and APIs in a C#/.NET environment
  • Build and maintain cloud infrastructure components and pipelines on AWS
  • Design and work with relational databases and contribute to system design decisions
  • Create and run unit and integration tests to ensure high quality and secure code
  • Troubleshoot production issues and implement reliable fixes and improvements
  • Document technical designs and share best practices with the team
  • Communicate status, risks, and tradeoffs to product owners and stakeholders

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and ~2 years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2+ years of hands-on development experience in C# and the .NET ecosystem
  • 1+ years of professional experience with AWS services and cloud-native patterns
  • Practical experience with relational database design and queries
  • Strong analytical thinking, requirements analysis, and technical troubleshooting skills
  • Familiarity with secure coding practices and software lifecycle processes
  • Able to collaborate effectively across teams and communicate technical concepts clearly

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with JavaScript or TypeScript and React for front-end work or full-stack responsibilities
  • Prior work in AI-enabled development environments or familiarity with tools that accelerate dev workflows
  • Experience contributing to system design, scalability and resiliency discussions
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and observability tools

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary range: USD 89,400 — 134,000 per year. The final base pay will depend on the candidate’s experience, location, and other lawful factors.
  • Position may be eligible for additional incentive compensation.
  • Benefits highlights (eligibility and specifics determined by the client): flexible paid vacation, seven paid holidays per year, up to 160 hours of paid wellness time annually, bereavement leave, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
