What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring a full-stack Software Engineer I to contribute to a modern, enterprise-grade platform. You'll work on features, bug fixes, and operational support within an Agile team, learning established patterns while growing your technical ownership.

• Engage in client support to monitor, diagnose, and triage bugs
• Collaborate with product, sales, and other engineers to design, scope, and implement features
• Participate in pair programming, code reviews, and knowledge-sharing sessions
• Learn and own specific areas of the codebase; work in other areas with guidance
• Contribute technical input on decisions impacting your product area
• Develop secure, performant solutions and follow best practices for testing and deployment
• Track work, estimates, and time in JIRA; follow agentic development practices
• Participate in security training and reviews
• Contribute to documentation and deployment processes to ensure high-quality releases
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 1–3 years of professional software development experience
• Strong Java skills (Java 8+; Java 17 preferred)
• Familiarity with Spring ecosystem (Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Data, Spring Batch)
• Experience with REST APIs, JPA / Hibernate and SQL (MySQL/Oracle a plus)
• Front-end exposure (React, React Hooks, Redux, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS). Experience with Angular or legacy JSF is also useful
• Familiarity with event systems and data platforms (Kafka, Spark) is a plus
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus
• Strong debugging, unit testing, and problem-solving skills
• Good verbal and written communication; comfortable in team-based Agile environments
• Desire to grow as a full-stack application developer and willingness to learn

Compensation & Benefits

• Total compensation range: $90,000 to $100,000 (inclusive of base salary and variable compensation). Final pay will depend on candidate location, skills, experience, and qualifications.

• Hybrid work model — on-site presence required at the St. Petersburg, FL office per team schedule.
