What You’ll Do

This is an early-career Software Engineer role working on production software used in healthcare settings. You will:

• Develop code based on assigned tasks, defined requirements, and design goals
• Ensure work is tested, reviewed, and meets coding standards before submission
• Participate actively in agile development meetings and sprint activities
• Contribute to design discussions and code reviews to learn application patterns and frameworks
• Maintain a basic understanding of system architecture used in the implementation of solutions
• Learn and apply the client’s development processes, terminology, and policies
• Perform other related duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

Minimum qualifications:

• 2+ years of relevant software development experience; OR Associate’s degree + 1 year experience; OR Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Basic knowledge of software design patterns and architecture
• Strong attention to detail with good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and collaboration skills in a team setting
• Ability to learn new concepts and technologies quickly
• Strong time and project organization skills

Preferred / nice-to-have:

• Experience or interest in healthcare software or electronic medical records (EMR)
• Familiarity with code review practices and agile workflows

• Work model: flexible — options for in-office, hybrid, or remote work are available. Candidates must be available for interviews, team activities, and occasional business meetings in the Sioux Falls office.
