What You’ll Do

  • Build new product features end-to-end — from architecture and implementation to deployment and monitoring.
  • Collaborate with Product, Design, and DevOps to deliver reliable, well-tested functionality.
  • Debug and improve platform reliability across a large-scale codebase.
  • Create and maintain system documentation and share knowledge with the team.
  • Ramp quickly with support from a dedicated onboarding mentor and contribute to long-term maintainability.

Where You’ll Work

This is a full-time, exempt position based in Oakland, CA with a hybrid schedule: in-office Monday/Wednesday/Thursday and remote option Tuesday/Friday.


Who You Are / Qualifications

  • BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent coursework or experience.
  • Proficiency in a compiled language (C++, Java, etc.) and a scripting language (Python, JavaScript, etc.).
  • Strong foundation in computer science fundamentals: algorithms, data structures, and problem solving.
  • Experience building and delivering software through coursework, personal projects, or internships.
  • Collaborative mindset and strategic approach to solving technical problems.
  • Authorized to work in the United States; at this time our client is not sponsoring U.S. employment visas for this role.

Nice to Have (Bonus)

  • Linux experience and familiarity with Unix-like environments.
  • Practical experience with Git or other version control systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Campus leadership experience or participation in technical research programs.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: USD 140,000 per year (posted to comply with California pay-transparency requirements).
