About the Role & Team

Rate of pay: $153,000 to $169,000 per Year. You may also be eligible for bonus, equity, and a range of benefits.

What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and services.
• Build robust, production-grade components that integrate into large-scale systems.
• Develop end-to-end data systems and reliable ETL pipelines with data quality monitoring.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues; improve system reliability and observability.
• Partner cross-functionally with Machine Learning, Product, and Operations teams to deliver scalable, data-driven solutions.
• Solve distributed-systems challenges to optimize performance in real-time environments.
• Follow engineering best practices across the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Collaborate on design reviews, code reviews, and operational runbooks.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field, plus one year of relevant professional experience — OR equivalent practical experience.
• Hands-on experience with:
  • Python
  • GIT
  • SQL
  • Data structures and algorithms
  • Debugging and monitoring production services
  • Distributed systems fundamentals
  • Software Development Lifecycle practices
  • At least one big-data processing framework (Spark, Ray, Hadoop, Kafka, or Flink)

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

• Experience designing reliable ETL pipelines and data quality frameworks.
• Production experience with large-scale, low-latency systems.
• Familiarity with observability tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and testing at scale.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $153,000 — $169,000 per year (base). You may be eligible for bonuses, equity, and other compensation components.

Work Location & Schedule

• Location: New York, NY.
• Employment type: Full-time, Entry level.
• Offices remain key to collaboration. Unless approved for full-remote work, employees are expected to spend at least 50% of their time in-office. Some roles may require more on-site time.
