What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring an early-career Software Engineer I to help build and maintain backend and full-stack services that power the company's digital presence. You will work with experienced engineers and cross-functional partners to deliver secure, reliable integrations across services, data stores, and CMS capabilities.
- Develop and maintain backend and full-stack services using .NET with guidance.
- Contribute to GraphQL and RESTful API design and implementation.
- Implement and optimize data access patterns using SQL (SQL Server experience is a plus).
- Write clean, maintainable code and unit/integration tests; participate in code reviews.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, QA, and other engineers in Agile teams.
- Learn system architecture and participate in design reviews to align technical solutions with business goals.
- Use AI-assisted tools appropriately to increase productivity and accelerate learning.
- Support incident troubleshooting and help improve monitoring and reliability.
Who You Are (Minimum Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience.
- 0–2 years of professional experience (internships, projects, coursework, or early roles welcomed).
- Foundational exposure to .NET and experience or coursework with SQL.
- Interest in learning GraphQL and RESTful API design.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive ownership mindset.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills; comfortable collaborating across teams.
- Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and grow under mentorship.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience or familiarity with SQL Server.
- Front-end exposure with React / Next.js.
- Cloud familiarity (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and basic DevOps knowledge.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions), containers (Docker), or Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with CMS platforms (Optimizely a plus).
- Any exposure to automated testing frameworks and modern observability tooling.
Location & Work Environment
- Location: Miami, FL (this role is based in Miami).
- This is primarily a sedentary office position requiring the ability to use computer equipment and perform moderate physical tasks (e.g., lift/carry up to 25 lbs).
- Work model (on-site, hybrid, remote) will be provided by Confidential Client during the hiring process.
