What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is seeking a Software Engineer I to join an on-site Radar Product Line team in Marlborough, MA. You will work on real-time embedded and application software used in mission-critical aerospace systems.
- Assist with requirements, design, development, and testing of real-time embedded software, application software, and engineering tools.
- Design, implement, debug, and document software components and systems.
- Integrate and test software on target hardware and simulation environments.
- Participate in internal design and code reviews; follow established configuration management and software lifecycle practices.
- Collaborate with engineering teams, program managers, and systems engineers to deliver features on schedule.
- Contribute to continuous improvement (Agile/SCRUM, DevOps, test automation) and share knowledge across the team.
Qualifications — You Must Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
- Experience or training in software development (academic projects, internships, or professional).
- Practical experience with C++, C, Java, or a similar higher-level programming language.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
Qualifications — We Prefer
- Understanding of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and software architectures.
- Experience with Unix/Linux development and toolchains.
- Familiarity with real-time or embedded systems.
- Experience working in team-based environments using Agile/SCRUM, DevOps practices, and test automation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to produce clear technical documentation.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.

- Worksite: Onsite in Marlborough, MA.
- Role Type: Full-time, primarily onsite.
- Security: This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret-level security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range (good-faith estimate): $57,200 – $108,800 USD per year.
