What You’ll Do

• Design and develop backend services and APIs using .NET and TypeScript/Node.js to support AI-driven agent platforms.
• Build, optimize, and maintain TypeScript-based agents that power phone and chat communication experiences.
• Implement and maintain GraphQL endpoints and other backend interfaces for high-volume communication workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional product, data-science, and infrastructure teams to integrate AI agent solutions with existing systems.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code and participate in regular code reviews to uphold quality standards.
• Troubleshoot, monitor, and resolve issues in production to ensure reliability and performance.
• Contribute to architecture and design discussions to scale systems for high concurrency and throughput.
• Participate in continuous learning and share knowledge on emerging technologies, frameworks, and best practices.

What We’re Looking For

Minimum qualifications

• 2+ years of professional software development experience post-graduation.
• Proficiency with .NET and TypeScript or Node.js.
• Strong understanding of backend development principles, APIs, and GraphQL.
• Experience writing well-documented, testable code and collaborating in a team environment.
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with platforms for building agentic communication experiences (e.g., Sierra AI or similar).
• Previous work on IVR (Interactive Voice Response) or IVA (Intelligent Virtual Assistant) systems.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience on AI- or ML-driven applications or working closely with ML teams.

On-Call Expectations

This role may include participation in an on-call rotation to support production systems and ensure service reliability. On-call responsibilities may include coverage during nights and weekends. Frequency, scheduling, and compensation for on-call work will be determined by team needs and communicated by the hiring team.
