What You’ll Do

• Be a key contributor on an agile software development team supporting satellite application software and virtualized test environments.
• Develop new features and maintain existing code for the application software that runs on the satellite constellation.
• Follow and help improve software engineering processes to increase quality and delivery efficiency.
• Participate in planning and executing software product releases.
• Use tools such as Jira, Git/Bitbucket, Bamboo, and Artifactory to track changes and manage artifacts.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the Satellite Software Product Team and other groups to solve challenging technical problems.
• Share knowledge through briefings, presentations, UML diagrams, and software specifications.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• 0–2 years of relevant software engineering experience (entry-level).
• Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and computer architecture.
• Proficiency in C / C++ and Python.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to build productive relationships with teammates and stakeholders.
• Creative problem-solving skills and the humility to ask for help when needed.
• Comfortable multitasking and delivering accurate work on schedule.
• Motivation to learn, grow professionally, and share knowledge.

Things That Would Be Great if You Brought to the Table

• Comfortable working in a Linux environment.
• Experience using Git for version control.
• Familiarity with Agile software development practices.
• Exposure to Atlassian tools (Jira, Bitbucket, Crucible, Confluence) is a plus.
• Willingness to learn domain-specific systems and test environments.

Requirements (Location & Eligibility)

• Must be a U.S. Citizen with no dual citizenship (required).
• Ability to work in the office at least 60% of the time (approximately 3 days per week) in Chandler, AZ to support team collaboration.

Work Environment

This position primarily works in an office setting and is largely sedentary, with most work performed using a computer and standard office equipment. The role supports in-person collaboration while allowing some flexibility.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base pay range: $70,000 - $88,000 USD.
• Actual compensation will be determined by skills, experience, and other factors. Salary is one component of total compensation and may be supplemented by equity, annual bonus, and benefits.
• Benefits may include medical, dental, and vision insurance; 401(k) options; paid time off and holidays; paid parental leave; and other employee discounts.
