Overview & Impact

The Software Engineer I - AI Generalist will help Confidential Client raise overall product quality by applying AI-assisted testing and automation across mobile, web, and backend services. This entry-level role (0–3 years) provides exposure to testing, tooling, and product engineering while rotating through squads in iOS, Android, Web, and backend. You’ll ship code, build AI harnesses, and measurably improve test coverage and cycle time.

What You'll Do

• Use AI tools and agents to accelerate test creation, execution, and triage across clients and services.
• Perform targeted manual testing where it matters and convert repetitive checks into durable automation.
• Build small tools and AI harnesses that make the entire engineering organization faster.
• Rotate into engineering squads (iOS, Android, Web, backend) and contribute production code with agent assistance.
• Find quality gaps before they ship and propose practical fixes rather than only filing bugs.
• Communicate clearly and concisely with a distributed team, surfacing blockers early.

Who You Are

• You’ve built something real — a project, internship, hackathon entry, or open-source contribution — and can walk through what you made and why.
• You already use AI coding tools as a force multiplier and are eager to push how far they go.
• You write code in at least one language (Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, Swift, Kotlin, or Go) and pick up new stacks quickly.
• You prefer breadth early in your career and are willing to touch multiple parts of the system.
• You spot problems and move them toward done without waiting to be told each step.
• You make the people around you faster; your writing and documentation are clear and actionable.
• 0–3 years of experience; Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience required.
