About the Role

Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Software Engineer I to help build enterprise AI agent products used for customer experience. In this role you’ll contribute to backend services, LLM integrations, voice and real‑time pipelines, and production reliability. This position is a fit for recent graduates or engineers with up to three years of hands-on software development experience.


What You’ll Do

  • Build and maintain backend services and APIs using Python, TypeScript, and Go.
  • Integrate large language models (LLMs) and build agent workflows, tools, and prompts.
  • Support retrieval-augmented generation using documents, embeddings, and vector stores.
  • Contribute to voice and real-time systems (Speech-to-Text, Text-to-Speech, WebSockets/WebRTC).
  • Debug production issues, write tests, and participate in incident resolution.
  • Work with containerization, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud services.
  • Monitor applications with logs, metrics, and traces; help improve reliability and cost efficiency.
  • Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and cross-functional collaboration with product and implementation teams.

What You’ll Bring To The Role

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Up to three years of software development experience (including internships or academic projects).
  • Strong programming fundamentals and problem-solving ability.
  • Experience or coursework using Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, or similar languages.
  • Understanding of data structures, algorithms, APIs, databases, and object-oriented design.
  • Familiarity with Git and common software development workflows.
  • Eagerness to learn new technologies and to take increasing ownership of product areas.

Preferred (Not Required)

  • Experience with event-driven systems and message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS).
  • Familiarity with voice technologies (Speech-to-Text, Text-to-Speech), WebRTC, SIP, Twilio, or contact-center platforms.
  • Exposure to monitoring/observability tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, or Grafana.
  • Personal, academic, or open-source projects involving AI, LLMs, or distributed systems.

  • Base salary range: $145,000 — $165,000 per year (range reflects target base pay; final offer may vary based on qualifications and experience).
